DETAILED SPECIFICATION

Wall Construction. Factory made wall panels are constructed from softwood sole and head plates with studs at 600mm centres.

Frame size is 4 x 2 CLS (38 x 90).

Racking forces are taken by cut in raking noggins.

Cladding can be either 2 ex. 32 x 150 sawn rebated weatherboard or 19 x 125 planed rebated shiplap, (we will ask you for your preference during the ordering process).

Cladding is fixed over Sisalkraft dpm with 12 gauge rust resistant nails.

Cladding and sole plate are pressure preservative treated.

Oak entrance frame has curved braces and is morticed, tennoned and pegged.

Partitions are clad on side facing Carriage House to eaves in shiplap or weatherboard and from eaves to ridge in tgv.

The workshop window is positioned in the front elevation and the personal door in the front half of the partition.

Roof Construction. When a tiled roof is specified we replace the standard boarded and felted roof structure with a 35° pitch trussed rafter roof. Trusses are spaced at 0.6m centres and roof bracing is supplied.

Side wall eaves have plumb cut exposed rafters. Pressure treated bargeboards and fascias are supplied. Ridge height is 4.37m.

Our tiled roof buildings have a roof pitch of 35° and are designed for roof loads up to 878N/m². This will suit slates, interlocking concrete tiles and most plain tiles.

Please note that our tiled roof building kits are as illustrated. i.e. The roof is not boarded and tile battens, sarking felt and tiles are not supplied by Passmores.
